How long have you been in business?
We have been in business since 1979.
What is your primary product or service?
We provide one-on-one tutoring. We have provided service from pre-school through seventy-eight year olds. We provide help with most areas of the curriculum. Primary areas are reading, writing and mathematics.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
As owner, I started tutoring at age 7 in my backyard. At 14, I was involved with a literacy program in my community for Hispanics through Girl Scouts. I taught in public education for 33 years and continued to tutor students in the summer and after school.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are just one-on-one with our tutoring. The lessons are written to meet the student's learning style and on a daily basis. There are no prepared packets. Our setting is in a home and is relaxed and informal.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have only one location at 5891 West Michigan Avenue in Pittsfield Township. We do not plan to expand.

We are between U.S. 23 and Platt Road. If coming to us on U.S. 23, take Exit 34 and turn to go West. We are .2 miles from the exit on the south side of U. S. 12 (West Michigan Avenue). Our address is 5891 West Michigan Avenue. It is a gray brick and white-sided quad-level home. The lower level is where our business is located.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, checks, money orders and we have credit and debit cards for Visa, Master Charge, Discover and American Express.
Which areas do you service?
We service all of Washtenaw County. However, we have had clients from Toledo, Detroit, Adrian, Flint, Lapeer, Wayne-Westland, and Downriver communities.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Arlene Corriveau is the principal owner,manager, and head tutor. All lessons and testing are done by Arlene.
What are your hours of operation?
During the summer we are open from 8:00 a.m to 9:00 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. During the school year, we are open from 10:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. All testing is done on Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
My child excelled at Dynamic Tutoring Service and is now going to college.
What is your favorite quote or Bible verse?
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
