What is your primary product or service?
A faith-based community outreach agency providing services to families to foster positive impacts in the lives of families through restoration counseling and psychotherapy, skill development and training, and economic development.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
POWER was a vision of Apostle Robert Hill that came to fruition in 1996. He saw a community outreach agency that would minister to the communities well-being through social work services. His insight and vision caused the community programs of building skills within families and individuals through counseling, developing economic strength through financial literacy, skill development, and building personal assets as a primary focus.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are a faith-based agency. We strive to improve the educational and psycho/social needs of residents in our community. We assist families and individuals in expanding their economic development opportunities to build assets. These opportunities include home ownership, skill development, micro-enterprise and financial literacy education.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one location at 301 W. Michigan Ave, Suite A-20.

We are located on Michigan Avenue in downtown Ypsilanti at 301 W. Michigan Ave. We are located at the corner of Hamilton and Michigan Ave. directly across the street from Eastern Michigan Universities Business School in the old Key Bank building.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept some insurances, checks and money orders. We also accept vouchers from other agencies.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
We are a non-profit agency. Our agency is a independently operated agency run by a Board of Directors who supervise an Executive Director. Historically the agency started in 1996 as a community outreach component of the Christian Love Fellowship Ministries International church, located at 1601 Stamford Street in Ypsilanti. At that time the Board of Directorship and by-laws were developed to direct the agency. Over time the agency has experienced different locations but consistency in services provided.
What are your hours of operation?
Monday thru Thursday 9:00 - 5:00 p.m. Fridays by appointment only

Philippians 2:1-4 Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and mercy, 2 fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. 3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interest, but also for the interest of others.
